I’m Cristina Ricci, a London-based Italian arts writer and digital content creator with 9+ years of experience in museums and galleries. I’m passionate about making contemporary art and visual culture accessible. I hold a BA (First Class Honours) in History of Art and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory (Distinction) from Goldsmiths, University of London, along with a background in Accounting and IT.

While at Goldsmiths, I co-founded the independent research collective Contakt Collective within the Visual Cultures Department in 2020, which allowed me to develop strong organisation and project management skills by hosting a live event bringing together arts professionals and promoting it on social media. My projects and writings explore the interrelation between the urban environment, social space, contemporary art practices, and cinematic forms of representation.

Since moving to London in 2012 and during my studies, I have worked in various museums, galleries, and arts organisations, including the Royal Academy of Arts, National Gallery, ArtRabbit, Tate Modern, Cardi Gallery, Contemporary Art Society, Aktis Gallery, and the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art.

My interest in modern and contemporary art led me to found and curate the Instagram page @criview, where I have been sharing news on current exhibitions in London and European cities since August 2018. Through this account – which currently has a community of 6.8k art lovers – I maintain an engaging tone of voice by sharing facts in a creative and informative way, in addition to personal anecdotes.
